Position Description
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: a love for ministry through music, a proficiency in piano or other instrument that will help in leading music during worship services. The candidate should possess strong leadership skills, team building and organizational skills, a warm and patient personality, positive attitude, a passion for building the Kingdom of God through music, the creative ability to build a strong music program and good communication skills.
The position includes coordinating all areas of music for worship services (Sundays and other special worship events), leading congregation in worship as worship leader, providing instruction for other vocal/instrumental groups as developed(choirs, praise band, etc.) and other responsibilities as needed to share the gospel with the community and the world.
We are not looking for perfection or someone with a long list of academic accomplishments. We are looking for someone who truly has a passion for Jesus Christ, first and foremost, along with a passion for music. We are seeking someone who enjoys combining those two passions in a way that helps others experience worship.
